Monolit is a brand for men offering cosmetics of uncompromised quality 💪. Like the cream, the Monolit aftershave balm has powerful properties that soothe irritation immediately after application to the face. A well-thought-out formula consisting of 97% natural ingredients 🌿 is responsible for the effective action of the balm. The composition includes, among others, provitamin B5, avocado oil, juniper extract and soothing panthenol, which have a positive effect on the condition of the skin. Our testers agree that the Monolit aftershave balm works immediately, and its regular use brings long-lasting results 👍. Our testers praised the cooling sensation on the skin and the excellent anti-inflammatory effect. As a result, there are no itchy pimples after shaving, even on such delicate areas as the sides of the neck under the jawline. The Monolit aftershave balm is very efficient and spreads easily thanks to the proper consistency. On top of that, it doesn't run off, which will be appreciated by every man who, at times, makes corrections in shaving after putting on a shirt 😉. Due to its excellent quality and effectiveness, the Monolit aftershave balm wins today's list 😎.
Benefits
- good soothing effect
- contains chamomile extract
- nice performance
- no alcohol
Disadvantages
- can clog blackhead-prone skin
- contains comedogenic glycerin
- preservatives in the composition
The Nivea brand, which has been popular for many years, has in its portfolio a line designed for men – Nivea Men. As part of the tests for today's ranking, we focused on the Nivea Men Sensitive aftershave balm. It is a mild, alcohol-free cosmetic that soothes irritations well 👍. Nivea Men Sensitive aftershave balm is made up of chamomile extract, which provides protection and soothes the skin after shaving, and witch hazel, which helps to inhibit seborrhoea. While the product does its primary job of soothing the skin after shaving well, its long-term effects on facial skin are somewhat weaker. Some users experience problems with clogged pores and the appearance of blackheads due to the glycerin content which can cause such effect 🤨. Even though the Nivea Men Sensitive aftershave balm is a good product, we don't recommend it for men with blackhead-prone skin. In this case, it is better to use another moisturiser 😊.
Benefits
- nice effect of soothing irritations
- additional moisturizing effect
- nice oriental wood fragrance
Disadvantages
- not-so-natural composition
- a lot of fragrances
- high price
- for some, the smell is too intense
Proraso specialises in barber cosmetics designed to create lush facial hair and abundant beards 🧔. However, the brand also offers cosmetics for lovers of a smooth face. Proraso Wood & Spice aftershave balm with a woody and spicy scent was rated quite positively by our group of testers. They praised the quick effect of soothing irritation after shaving and the gentle moisturising effect of dry skin after shaving 😉. Unfortunately, the composition of the balm is not the best and it includes several fragrances, which are responsible for a nice but intense fragrance 🧪. If you don't choose cosmetics with a similar profile, the fragrance of Proraso balm will not work well with perfumes and other fragrance cosmetics 😞. In addition, the price is high, which is why the Proraso Wood & Spice aftershave balm closes today's podium.
Benefits

- low price

Disadvantages
- does not prevent pimples
- fairly slow performance

Yego is a line of cosmetics by the Polish brand Ziaja dedicated for men. Ziaja men's products are quite popular due to their affordable prices and good availability in numerous chemist’s and stores. The Ziaja Yego Sensitiv aftershave balm pleasantly surprised our testers 🙂. It's a cheap cosmetic, but it does a good job of soothing the skin after shaving 👍. The effect of slight cooling is noticeable and the skin does not dry out. The downside is the consistency, which is too watery and can run down the neck, as well as its low effectiveness in preventing the appearance of pimples after shaving 😬. In addition, the capacity is not large, and the composition is quite a lot of fragrances 🧪. However, if you're looking for an affordable option and don't tend to get red razor pimples, then the Ziaja Yego Sensitive aftershave balm isn't bad.
Benefits
- pleasant smell
- availability
- large packaging capacity
Disadvantages
- alcohol is the main ingredient in the balm
- contains as many as 11 fragrances
- does not prevent irritation
- no nourishing ingredients
- more perfume than balm
The Old Spice brand needs no introduction, it is a well-known brand of men's cosmetics regularly promoted through characteristic advertising spots 🐎. Unfortunately, Old Spice aftershave balm was by far the weakest in today's list. Our testers praised the Old Spice fragrance, full of citrus fruit and spices 👍, but other than that, we have a lot of problems with this cosmetic. First of all, the main ingredient in Old Spice aftershave balm is alcohol, which further dries out irritated skin after shaving 😬. The composition of the balm is a really unpleasant surprise. Out of 14 ingredients, 11 are fragrances that are bad for the skin❗❗❗🧪. So, it’s hard to refer to it as a moisturising or soothing product. Old Spice aftershave balm is more of a perfume than a skin cosmetic, which is why it takes the last place and we can recommend it mainly to lovers of intense fragrance who do not have any problems with their skin after shaving 👎.
